FUTURA (Future Climate, Impact and Emission Pathways and Infrastructure: Informing Risk, Transitions and Responses for Assessment and Society) coordinates European modelling and infrastructure efforts to build a sustainable system for delivering future emissions scenarios and climate projections. It develops cyclical scenario-generation protocols aligned with policy timeframes, and infrastructure for rapid access to model output. The project also assesses climate pathways including temperature overshoot, evaluates extremes and tipping elements, and translates global climate information to policy-relevant scales.
My role is overseeing simple climate model calibration and development.
